A truly delightful experience

"We rented four adjoining barn rooms for our son's 21st birthday and had the most marvelous time at ANRÁN. Mike and Edwin are the perfect hosts and the accommodation was beautiful with excellent well-thought out extras including local cheeses, bread and eggs for breakfast, two well equipped kitchens, amazing en suite bathrooms with Molton Brown products, enormous king sized beds and ample storage. The enclosed Courtyard afforded privacy and you really felt you were in the heart of Devonshire countryside yet a short drive to the coast. The meal at the local pub was delicious with extensive menu and local beers. On Saturday we had a champagne celebration dinner and everyone helped with the preparations and our local caterer Suzie was an absolute gem, highly recommended for your private party. A truly memorable weekend and we cannot wait for the next family celebration so we can return. Thank you to everyone at ANRÁN, a truly delightful experience."

I have never enjoyed a stay so much, or met two such kind and warm people. They are truly gifted hosts, with fabulous taste. We are already planning our return. "Our host, Mike, was just the perfect combination of being there on our arrival to welcome us and to show us around and giving us completely uninterrupted privacy. Mike and his team were always around to give us the low down on local walks and places to eat, even making a reservation for our first evening at a fantastic local restaurant. During our stay we hardly saw a soul and it felt as if we had the place to ourselves. Whenever we had a question or request Mike was always on hand to respond right away."

There were people around if you needed anything but otherwise you were left to your own devices which we really appreciated. We had such a wonderful stay at ANRÁN Manor - it really was a perfect retreat that instantly felt like our own home. Edwin and Mike were the perfect hosts - always available to provide recommendations for dining and activities in the local area and the attention to detail throughout was first class. The decor was beautiful and very tastefully done - so much so that my wife took lots of photos before we left for ideas that we hope to replicate in our own place! You must find some time to enjoy a glass of wine in the Pig Sty, overlooking the lake - we didn't want to leave!

"We had a wonderful warm welcome - literally, as on the chilly day, the heated floors were an unbelievably great surprise. The luxurious shower, Molten Brown products and warm, fluffy robes added to the spa feeling of the place. Easy drive to Totnes and Dartington - our principal reasons for visiting, but we could quite happily have spent the whole weekend in the unit. Shame the weather was crappy as we'd have loved to have sat out in the beautiful courtyard. Next time!"
