"This is really a remarkable and outstanding place to go. The owner has put much effort in making this an extraordinary, well designed and comfortably equipped place with loads of atmosphere deriving from the old farm settings. We loved it!

Breakfast was served in the room as fresh and sumptuous as can be, you even could prepare it yourself in the fully equipped kitchen.
The personnel was extremely nice and helpful. Made it an even more enjoyable experience. A pity we just stayed one night.

"A great weeks vacation in a lovely spot, easy access to the moors, the beaches, etc. Great welcoming hosts and staff. ANRÁN is a wonderful experience from start to finish. This was our first holiday with our 1 year old dog and it was a lovely experience. We arrived to a warm welcome by both the hosts and their dog (Gibson) and a care basket for our dog. Whether you have a furry travel companion or not, ANRÁN is highly recommended. The concept of having your breakfast tray delivered at a time that suits you and then being able to cook the bacon eggs etc at your convenience is super. A relaxing start to each day. We will be back."

"Beautiful, romantic, luxurious farm in the heart of Devon. Me and my partner loved every minute of our stay. Our room with the huge white bed and bath next to it was amazing. I felt completely at home

"From the moment I arrived I felt completely at home in this beautiful Devon farmhouse. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, the rooms are spacious and every detail has been considered. Breakfast of fresh farm eggs, fresh bread and home made jam, in the courtyard garden was a delight, and an evening walk round the fields with the dog followed by a swim in the beautifully heated pool felt like heaven. Thank you to Yardley and Fleur who were delightful and made sure nothing was lacking during my stay."

"Mike & Edwin made our stay feel like we were visiting friends. We could not have felt more comfortable or relaxed during our stay. Our accommodation was superb, incredibly comfortable & beautifully decorated. We lucked into a 'pop-up' restaurant night which was a fantastic night - we thoroughly enjoyed it. Yardley - the chef did a fantastic job presenting a wonderful dinner.

"The Manor House has very nicely decorated rooms with great bathrooms (including free-standing bathtub). The whole house is stylishly furnished and invites you to linger. In the garden with a heated pool you can enjoy nature. The farm is nestled in the green fields and meadows of Devon. However, the landlords Edwin and Mike are definitely worth mentioning with your team. "Mike and Edwin have a lot of suggestions and tips for trips and activities, we took a ride with the South Devon Railway (steam train), enjoyed a ride through the nearby Dartmoor, and visited some beautiful beaches by the sea ....But simply to enjoy the peace and nature on the farm and in the house is equally recommended! "

As a guest you can not receive better. All in all, a wonderful stay in Devon! We will be back!"

"After our 8 1/2hr journey from Kent (!) we felt our stresses melting away as we turned off the Totnes road and made our way along on the lanes to Landscove.

Fleur's lovely warm greeting and introduction to our accommodation was genuinely welcoming and we would recommend Anran to friends and family as a home-from-home...no pretensions here, just warmth and love of the natural environment and a genuine desire for guests to unwind from the stresses of life.

Great bread, Yarsley! And wonderful sausages and bacon...the sunflower on our breakfast try was a nice touch!

So sad we had to return early to Kent: we could have spent so much more time exploring all the footpaths and wonderful scenery of Devon.

Mike, Edwin and Gibson: thank you for your attention to detail and laid-back approach to life - in a world of crazy speed, fast food and egoic demands, your kindness and obvious love of life in a beautiful part of Devon is infectious - thank you from our hearts!"

Tip:
"We arrived in early September just after the main schools had returned...it was probably a mistake to travel down to Dartmoor on a Friday...the whole World seemed to be descending that day, to make the most of the late summer...my tip would be to leave it until the Autumn or travel very early on a weekend morning...avoiding arriving just outside Exeter at around 5.30pm on a Friday...you have been warned!!!

The Village pub was a friendly place to eat on the first evening - if your appetite isn't huge, ask for a smaller portion (our plates of food were HUGE!)

If you bring some simple provisions with you the cooking facilities in the room are excellent if you are staying in one of the barns. There are fresh vegetables available in the little Tidwell Farm Shop (this is Riverford Organics country here on the doorstep).

Dittisham is gorgeous (and less crowded than Salcombe) and the scenery is fabulous. There is a lovely walk from here to Dartmouth, along the valley...be prepared for steep walking!
The Anchor is a great place to watch the world go by and enjoy simple but incredibly fresh fish and seafood...definitely not to be missed and worth booking a table - it gets very busy."

"The venue itself is unbelievable without their input, and struck a chord with our hearts the second we saw it online and to be honest, the images really do not do it justice!

We've already planned a return very soon and will certainly be back again after that as it has become a very special place for us.

The room was immaculate, styled in such a way that it was like a home away from home and the food and service was beyond our expectations, all for a very reasonable price.

"We found this beautiful farm on booking.com and did a last minute booking. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Mike who showed us our "room". We were absolutely dumbstruck as to how beautiful it was! The room was like a mini apartment! The design was fabulous and every little detail had been thought of to make our stay so comfortable. Waking up and having breakfast brought to us was a luxury and the breakfast itself was delicious! Mike also showed us around the other facilities the next day and we were just surprised again and again over the quality and beauty of it all!
